A bag of 66 Order 66 Cookies A specific type of cookie was known as Order 66 Cookies.
These treats, described as possessing a "crunchy" texture and a "delightful aftertaste," were sold in bags containing 66 cookies. An Imperial officer sold them beside a statue of the Galactic Emperor Palpatine in Theed on Naboo during the Empire Day celebration in 1 ABY. The packaging was predominantly white, featuring a clear window that displayed the cookies inside. The number "66" was printed above this window, and the product name was displayed at the top, both written in Aurebesh.
Stormtrooper TK-555 held the responsibility of counting and packaging these cookies.
The name of the cookies clearly originates from Executive Order 66, the directive instructing Clone Troopers to eliminate their Jedi Commanders in the event of a Jedi uprising.
Order 66 Cookies appeared in the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies during Empire Day, a live event for players that began on June 24 2008, commemorating the game's fifth anniversary. Player characters aligned with the Empire could purchase them, granting a temporary experience bonus. They returned in 2009 for the sixth anniversary of Galaxies, this time with a decorative version of the item. The Rebel Alliance counterpart for this event was Death Star Destruction.
In addition to the edible versions, non-edible versions were also available as house decorations during the same festival. Unlike their edible counterparts, both factions could purchase the non-edible versions.
