The Orincans were a sentient species of the porcine variety. Their appearance was comparable to that of the Gamorreans, although their skin tone was lighter. These beings harbored a certain animosity towards the Mizi, a fellow sentient species originating from the same geographical area. One of the Orincan starships found itself marooned on the Amaxine space station, along with several other vessels, due to the restrictions placed on hyperspace travel following the Great Hyperspace Disaster. A conflict arose between the Orincans and a contingent of Mizi who were also stranded on the space station; however, the two factions eventually joined in celebration upon the resumption of travel to Coruscant.
