The Orryxia system, a star system situated in the Outer Rim Territories and specifically located within the Seswenna sector, was a notable location. This system was the homeworld of the Orryxians, a sentient feline species, and also the place where Orryxian Catsblood was first created. Furthermore, it featured woodlands inhabited by orycats, which are small pack predators.
Prior to his death in 4 ABY, Wilek Nereus, the Imperial Governor of Bakura, a planet in Wild Space, journeyed to the Orryxia system. During this visit, he acquired several orycat teeth for his dental collection. Nereus, however, found the woodlands where the orycats lived too difficult to fully explore, preventing him from conducting a thorough ecological study of their habitat, an observation he later recorded in his personal writings.
The Orryxia system made its debut appearance in The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook, a supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games in 1996. In 2009, The Essential Atlas, a reference book, pinpointed the system's location as grid square M-18.
