Orun Wa was a male scientist from Kamino who, in the final years of the Galactic Republic, held the responsibility of the Null-class ARC Troopers' creation. A perfectionist by nature, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the perceived imperfections of the Null troopers.
These troopers displayed complete independence, operating without the need for orders. This independence was a source of frustration for Wa, a fact that did not escape the troopers' notice.
Ordo, in particular, felt deep anger towards his creator's disappointment, resenting the constant criticisms leveled at the troopers. In response, Ordo attempted to assassinate Wa using a hold-out blaster he had acquired. Only the intervention of his mentor, Kal Skirata, prevented the act, as Skirata persuaded him to refrain from shooting, even though Skirata himself saw no issue with eliminating Wa, given his disdain for Kaminoans.
This event prompted Wa to conclude that the Null ARC troopers were too autonomous for field operations. Consequently, he mandated that they be accompanied by a mentor at all times. Skirata was chosen for this role, as he was clearly the only individual whom the troopers respected and would follow.
Wa's physical build was typical of a Kaminoan, but his pursuit of perfection led him to become a rather isolated individual. His perceived failure with the Null class troopers drove him to seek perfection in the creation of the Alpha class ARC Troopers. However, these troopers also exhibited flaws related to their independence, as they developed individual personalities and began to deviate from the behavior deemed acceptable by the Kaminoans.
