The Outbound Flight Colony functioned as a corporate-run government. It existed on a distant planetoid within the Redoubt, which itself was situated in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. This colony originated from the remaining people of the Outbound Flight project after its destruction at the hands of the Chiss Ascendancy. A Director and the Managing Council oversaw its operations, with the Charter serving as its foundational legal framework.
The Outbound Flight Colony ceased to exist in 22 ABY when the Chiss located it. The remaining colonists were then moved to the Empire of the Hand within Wild Space.
