Oxon City, often referred to simply as Oxon, was a settlement located on the planet of Naboo, home to both Gungans and Humans. During the Battle of Naboo in 32 BBY, warriors from Oxon City joined the fight, and later, during the Separatist Crisis, Queen Jamillia designated it as a primary arrival point for refugees on Naboo.
Known also as Oxon for short, Oxon City was a city situated within the swamps of the planet Naboo, and it was populated by the indigenous Gungans alongside the Human inhabitants of Naboo. It was recognized as a key Human settlement on the planet, positioned southeast of Theed, the Human capital, and Lake Paonga, which housed the submerged Gungan city of Otoh Gunga. A spaceport was present within Oxon City.

During the Invasion of Naboo event of 32 BBY, Oxon City provided Gungan soldiers for the Gungan Grand Army. These warriors fought with their compatriots from Otoh Mandassa, Umberbool City, and Otoh Gunga in order to drive back the invading forces of the Trade Federation at the Great Grass Plains during the Battle of Naboo. Following the victory and liberation of Naboo, the Gungans initiated the establishment of a colony on Naboo's moon, Ohma-D'un. A consignment containing machine parts was seized by pirates en route from Oxon to the lunar colony, which prompted the Royal House of Naboo to dispatch a team of pilots to safeguard subsequent shipments.
In the year 22 BBY, specifically on 13:4:18, amidst the Separatist Crisis, Queen Jamillia of Naboo eased immigration protocols and designated the spaceports of Oxon, Theed, and Kwilaan Starport as official arrival points for refugees. This decision necessitated relocating commercial mining operations to specifically designated service ports. News of Jamillia's decision was published in the CoCo District Edition of the HoloNet News on 13:4:18.
The city of Oxon was conceived in the revised second draft of George Lucas's prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, but it was ultimately omitted from the final version of the film, which premiered on May 19, 1999. This draft was included in the Star Wars: Episode I Insider's Guide CD-ROM, released on June 23, 1999. Within the draft, the B1-series battle droid OOM-9 informs the Neimoidian leaders of the Trade Federation that the Droid Army is advancing on the city without encountering any resistance.
Oxon then received its first canonical mention within the Star Wars Legends continuity through an adventure seed featured on a character statistics webpage for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, authored by Steve Miller and hosted on the Wizards of the Coast website. This webpage served as a supplement to Miller's short story, "The Starfighter Trap," which appeared in the first issue of the Star Wars Gamer magazine in November 2000. Its identity as Oxon City was further solidified in the 2001 LucasArts video game titled Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, published in 2008, described Oxon as a human settlement, despite earlier depictions portraying it as a Gungan habitation and the well-documented animosity between the two groups prior to the Invasion of Naboo.
