P-60, along with its more advanced model, P-59, were the pair of droidekas deployed by Trade Federation representative Nute Gunray with the objective of preventing Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi from gaining access to the command deck of the Saak'ak. Ultimately, the sheer power of these droidekas compelled the two Jedi Knights to retreat and seek refuge within a ventilation shaft.
