Pat Proft


Pat Proft, a comedic writer and performer, was born in Columbia Heights, Minnesota on April 3, 1947. His professional journey started at Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop, located in Minneapolis. Later, in the mid-1970s, he transitioned into writing for both television and cinema.

Proft's writing credits include a substantial list of movies (including several ventures with ZAZ, and The Star Wars Holiday Special); however, he has only taken on directing duties for a single film, Wrongfully Accused, which starred Leslie Nielsen.
