Peate Kurin, a male Human of the Imperial affiliation, functioned as a TIE pilot within the ranks of the Galactic Empire. His service continued until he defected to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, becoming a part of Twilight Squadron during the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
During the year 1 BBY, Kurin's assignment placed him within Twilight Squadron, where they were stationed on the Rand Ecliptic. Alongside Biggs Darklighter and several fellow pilots, he participated in a mutiny, orchestrating their escape until Derek Klivian took command as their new commander. Subsequently, Kurin enlisted with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, where General Jan Dodonna dispatched him on a mission concerning X-Wing starfighters located at the Incom Corporation. During this perilous operation, he acted as one of the decoy pilots, ejecting from his astromech-controlled TIE fighter to remain adrift in space, awaiting rescue. Tragically, a random shot from an Imperial fighter that was passing by struck him in the head, resulting in his immediate death.
