The Pegasus Strike Force represented a Rebel naval group that operated within the Mid Rim sector throughout the Galactic Civil War.
Captain [Longmar] commanded the Pegasus Strike Force, utilizing the frigate Liberty Gambler as his command vessel; the fleet also consisted of the warships Pegasus, Aralanni, in addition to a number of corvettes and transport vessels.
After Operation Venom, an Imperial military campaign designed to destroy the Strike Force, the Pegasus and the Aralanni, as well as other warships, were reassigned to different regions across the galaxy. As a result, the Pegasus Strike Force was reduced to the Liberty Gambler, a small number of corvettes, and several transport ships carrying wounded Rebel soldiers. During this time, the Behemoth was actively searching for the Strike Force. Consequently, Longmar dispatched a team of Rebel agents to Orellon II to determine its viability as a secure haven.
