Penguin Books, established in 1935 in London by Sir Allen Lane, is a publishing house that operates as a division of Penguin Random House. Beginning as a publisher focused on producing affordable, yet well-made paperback books, it has since grown to become the leading imprint within the Penguin Group of publishers, which is itself a subsidiary of Pearson PLC.
Penguin has released two children's activity books connected to the animated TV show Star Wars: The Clone Wars, in addition to Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Head-to-Head. Among its imprints is Ladybird Books, a publisher of children's books that also has Star Wars titles in its catalog.
