Perit was a Mon Calamari Vigo within the Black Sun organization, serving during the era of Prince Xizor.
Before the Falleen achieved the position of Underlord, Perit garnered Xizor's interest while he was a slave. Initially, Perit belonged to an executive from Sienar Fleet Systems and worked as a household servant. However, his technological aptitude led to his advancement as a personal assistant. Xizor orchestrated Perit's transfer to his residence on Coruscant and arranged for the Mon Calamari to be trained as a slicer.
Following Xizor's ascension to leadership of Black Sun, he designated Perit as his replacement among the vigos. This decision was met with discontent from the other vigos, both initially and persistently. Nevertheless, Perit's abilities provided him with access to substantial compromising information about his rivals.
In the year 1 ABY, Perit uncovered that a sublieutenant belonging to another Vigo, who was involved in Perit's glitterstim dealings, was illicitly accumulating Perit's credits. To avert an outright conflict with the other Vigos, he employed independent contractors to stage an ambush on the sublieutenant's base, resulting in his death and framing it as a pirate raid.
Perit possessed a Mon Calamari starliner named the Red Tide.
