The deranged former surgeon, Cornelius Evazan, recounted that millennia prior to the Imperial Era, a princess on the verge of dying within the Kingdom of Tion instructed her pipe-bird in whistling her cherished melody. Subsequently, other pipe-birds imitated the princess' tune, disseminating it across the galaxy. Evazan documented the tale of the princess and her pipe-bird in a journal entry of the Smuggler's Guide while he had it, using it to demonstrate a concept about eternal life to his associate Ponda Baba.
