The contest of pit fighting involved two or more beings or entities engaging in combat. Victory was achieved when one combatant caused the death of their opponent(s). Creatures frequently seen in this brutal pastime were rancors and kell dragons. The Hutts were particularly fond of this activity, largely due to the substantial wagering it generated.
