Piton (tool)

A piton is defined as a metallic spike. To liberate a dewback's foreleg from a rocky crevice, Melnea Arnthout employed both a piton and a hydroshovel. Because the dewback had trapped a pair of Jawas, this specific action enabled her, together with the Jawas, to come to a mutual agreement regarding a pact of non-aggression.
