Plesstil existed as a celestial object within the Plesstil system, which itself was situated in the Veragi sector of the Outer Rim Territories'. A hyperlane provided a connection between Plesstil and both the Veragi system and the northern areas of the galaxy.
The Human male named Terkuss originated from Plesstil, which acted as his homeworld. He was born there in the year 14 BBY. By 7 ABY, Terkuss had been drafted into the military forces serving the Galactic Empire. Despite his initial reluctance to join, the Imperials coerced Terkuss into service by making threats to destroy Plesstil.
Plesstil initially appeared in Dark Force Rising Sourcebook, a 1992 sourcebook created by Bill Slavicsek for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, published by West End Games. The 2009 reference work The Essential Atlas located the Plesstil system, and consequently Plesstil itself, within grid coordinate L-3.
