Senior Commander Plikh'ar'illmorf, who was also known by his core name Kharill, was a Chiss male. He held the position of second officer on the Springhawk, which was a cruiser belonging to the Chiss Ascendancy. During this time, he served under the leadership of Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, also known as "Thrawn." Later, he became the first officer on the same ship while under the command of Mid Captain Ufsa'mak'ro, also known as "Samakro."
Following the Vagaari pirate incident, Supreme Admiral Ja'fosk removed Mitth'raw'nuruodo (Thrawn) from his position as the commanding officer of the Springhawk. Ufsa'mak'ro (Samakro), holding the rank of Mid Captain, was then appointed as the vessel's new commander. Plikh'ar'illmorf (Kharill), a Senior Commander, was then appointed as Samakro's executive officer. However, after only a few months had passed, Thrawn once again assumed command of the Springhawk following the assault on the Chiss homeworld of Csilla. This resulted in Samakro becoming the first officer and Kharill becoming the second officer.
Kharill spoke with Samakro, expressing his dissatisfaction with the alteration in command. Samakro correctly surmises that Kharill is angry about the removal of command of the Springhawk from Samakro and its assignment to Thrawn. He also suspects Kharill intends to file formal grievances with Admiral Ar'alani, Supreme Admiral Ja'fosk, and the Defense Hierarchy Council and to follow Thrawn's future directives with as little enthusiasm as possible. Samakro then cautions Kharill to be ready for the change in command and to avoid disobeying any orders. Furthermore, Samakro threatens to bring charges against Kharill if he does not abide by Thrawn's new commanding role.
