The Ploven, described by certain Imperial staff as "little finbacks," were sentient aquatic beings originating from the planet Gra Ploven. After being conquered by the Empire, the Ploven were unable to meet their assigned quotas for the Imperial war machine. As a result, the Star Destroyer Forger employed its laser cannons to evaporate the oceans of Gra Ploven, resulting in the deaths of more than two hundred thousand Ploven.
