Pneuma

According to the texts of Darth Plagueis, pneuma represented the manifestation of sentient thought within the Force. It existed as one of the Force's three components, in conjunction with both the aperion and also the anima.

The collective pneuma was augmented by conscious, self-aware beings; it could be tapped into by species naturally gifted with telepathic abilities, and through the diverse array of mind tricks employed by both Sith and Jedi alike.
