The Polith system, located within the Inner Rim Territories, consisted of seven planets. Thyferra was one of the planets found within it. The indigenous Vratix of Thyferra had established colonies on other planets of the Polith system prior to their encounter with the Galactic Republic. Moff Kyl Ransen held authority over this system during the time of the Galactic Civil War.
