Predne Balu was a male Assistant Security Officer working for the Imperial forces, and hailed from the planet Tatooine. Feltipern Trevagg was one of his colleagues.
M'iiyoom Onith, a female being of the H'nemthe species, caught Trevagg's eye. Balu cautioned Feltipern to "leave the girl alone" (help·info) while Trevagg was trying to seduce her. Trevagg, being obstinate, disregarded the warning and subsequently perished during their mating process. Balu's evident surprise when Wuher accused M'iiyoom Onith of Trevagg's demise implies he was unaware of the peril Trevagg faced.
Balu's duties as a Security Officer involved patrolling the Mos Eisley streets. His attire consisted of dark blue trousers and vest, a gray shirt, and a tan belt and holster.
