Protector (Victory-class)

Protector, a Victory-class Star Destroyer, served within the ranks of the New Republic Navy throughout the duration of the Yuuzhan Vong War.

History

The vessel transported Leia Organa Solo from Coruscant to Bastion in the year 25 ABY. Under the command of Admiral Aril Nunb, it also carried the shuttle known as the Chandrila Moon.

Behind the scenes

The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, published in 2008, indicated that the Expanded Universe contained three distinct Victory-class Star Destroyers sharing the name Protector. This particular one was operated by the New Republic, while the remaining two were used by the Empire.
