"Prow Beaten": This is the fourteenth episode from the second season of the television show Ewoks. Bob Carrau wrote the script, while Dale Schott was the director. It was initially broadcasted on November 8, 1986 by ABC.
The episode begins by showing Shodu Warrick and her daughter Malani as they are working on creating a net for the upcoming Fishing Festival. This festival is a major event located at Bright Tree Village. At the same time, Wicket and Teebo asked Chief Chirpa if there was anything they could do to assist with the Fishing Festival. They then encounter Master Logray, who has summoned a golden object of some kind. Chief Chirpa gives Wicket and Teebo the task of cleaning his canoe, a task they accept with reluctance.
Elsewhere, the leader of the Duloks, King Gorneesh, is shown ruling over his subjects as they row a battleship down a river. Gorneesh's wife, Queen Urgah, inquires about when she will have a chance to steer the boat. Gorneesh responds by clarifying that it's not just a boat, but a battleship. He expresses his intention to disrupt the Ewoks' fishing festival and pilfer their fish. The shaman Umwak voices his approval of Gorneesh's scheme. The Dulok king then asks what they can use their battleship to test on, and he notices a Skib's nest in the river. Following Gorneesh's orders, the Duloks utilize a catapult to demolish the wooden nest in three shots. The Duloks then laugh cruelly, with the King declaring that his battleship is now ready for action.
After they finish cleaning and scrubbing the canoe, Wicket and Teebo carry it and place it in the water. Shortly afterwards, Kneesaa and Latara join the boys. Latara asks the boys if they can have a ride on the canoe. Kneesa cautions her, stating that they are not allowed to use the canoe without Chirpa's permission. Wicket disagrees, asserting that he is in charge of the canoe until the Fishing Festival. Wicket then persuades them to get in for a ride, and the girls agree.
During their trip, Teebo attempts to flirt with Latara but becomes distracted. The ride is cut short when the boat collides with a rock, causing the four to fall into the river. After Wicket and the others manage to get the boat back to shore, they discover that the special prow carving is missing from the front of the canoe. Fearing Chirpa's anger, Wicket leads the group in a search of the river. The Ewoks dive into the river, but Wicket and Kneesaa only find branches. Teebo comes across a tortoise-like creature, while Latara finds a jellyfish.
Kneesaa soon runs into her father, Chief Chirpa, and Master Logray on the riverbank. Wicket and Kneesaa claim that everything is fine and that the canoe will be ready soon. Teebo is concerned that Chirpa will punish them for losing the prow carving. Wicket reassures the other Ewoks that the prow carving must have been carried downstream by the current. He then leads the other Ewoks downstream.
In the meantime, King Gorneesh's battleship has become stuck on a sandbar. Gorneesh whips his subjects, ordering them to push the ship faster, but he loses his balance and falls into the mud. Umwat attempts to calm the king, but then he notices the lost Ewok prow carving in the water. He retrieves it and presents the Ewok prow carving to King Gorneesh, saying that it will bring them good luck for their Fishing Festival.
The Ewoks observe the Duloks talking from behind some reeds. Kneesaa declares that they have to get it back, and Wicket agrees. Seeing a floating lotus, Wicket comes up with a plan. The Duloks attach the prow carving to the prow of their battleship, with Gorneesh declaring his intention to harass the Ewoks. Meanwhile, Wicket and his friends sneak towards the ship while hiding under lotuses. As the four attempt to retrieve the carving, they are captured and brought onto the Duloks' battleship by Gorneesh.
The Ewoks were then forced to help the Duloks row their way to Bright Tree Village, and Latara immediately blames Wicket. During their journey, King Gorneesh and Queen Urgah are splashed by the Skibs, who are angry at Gorneesh for destroying their home. Teebo translates the Skibs' words to Wicket, who then has an idea. As the voyage continues, Wicket asks Teebo if the Skibs are ready. Teebo, who can understand them, replies that the Skibs are eager to get even with the Duloks.
Upon Wicket's signal, the Skibs collectively grab the battleship from behind, causing it to accelerate. Gorneesh is thrown overboard, while several other Duloks are caught on a hanging branch. Kneesaa and Latara run towards the catapult. Queen Urgah attempts to stop them but falls overboard. Wicket then takes control of the battleship and uses its own catapult to bring about the ship's destruction by crashing a rock into it. The rock smashes through the battleship, causing it to sink into the river.
As the Ewoks celebrate, they are attacked by an enraged Gorneesh, who attempts to hit them with a club but ends up smashing a hole in the ship's prow. He chases them around the ship, destroying the battleship. After Kneesaa spots a log ahead, the Ewoks abandon ship. Gorneesh's battleship crashes into the logs, with the impact causing it to break apart. After abandoning ship, Wicket and the others watch in horror as the Ewok prow carving sinks to the deep along with the ship. The Ewoks are despondent, but Kneesaa states that they will have to tell her dad the truth. The grateful Skibs provide the Ewoks with a log so that they can float to safety. The Duloks rage in defeat, with Gorneesh vowing vengeance.
That night, Wicket explained the whole ordeal to Chirpa. The four became extremely worried of Chirpa's punishment; Wicket feared that the chief would have him bound to a pole and shot with stones, Teebo that he would been vaporized with magic, Kneesaa fears that she may be outcast from home, and Latara fearing the loss of her trinkets. But instead Chirpa commended the young ones and merely asked that they put a new prow carving on the boat. Wicket and the others were so surprised by Chirpa's words that all four of them passed out right then and there.
