Qiemal

The group known as the Qiemal constituted a faction of Qieg residing on the planet Lan Barell. This faction held extreme views, primarily centered around their opposition to the presence of individuals from other worlds on their planet, though the majority did not resort to violence. Their designation, "First Nest," is derived from the Qieg language. Their core belief was that the depletion of the planet's ore resources would lead to a financial crisis for the Qieg inhabiting the cities, rendering them unable to afford essential goods like sustenance. They further asserted that these urban Qieg had lost the skills necessary for self-sufficiency. According to their doctrine, only those Qieg who maintained adherence to traditional practices would endure this future crisis. Internal divisions existed within the Qiemal, with various sects espousing different degrees of ideological commitment. Political tensions frequently arose between the Qiemal factions residing in urban centers and those living in forested areas.
