Qordis

Qordis, also known as Lord Eddels to banking institutions, was a male Human Dark Lord of the Sith. He held a prominent position within the Brotherhood of Darkness and was a staunch supporter of Skere Kaan. This tall, emaciated Human male, characterized by a cruel nature and a penchant for luxurious living, established and presided over the Sith Academy on Korriban during the concluding years of the New Sith Wars.

Biography

Qordis was a Human male who stood among the most powerful Sith Lords, alongside figures like Kopecz and Kas'im, all of whom had sworn allegiance to Kaan's Brotherhood of Darkness. Qordis played a role in the training of a Human named Bane at the Sith Academy located on Korriban. The rivalry between Qordis and Kopecz, who was responsible for bringing Bane to the Academy, created a distance between Qordis and the young apprentice, potentially leading to a dislike for him.

Following Bane's arrival at the Sith Academy, rumors circulated among the students that Qordis had been instructing Sirak, a formidable Zabrak Sith, for approximately twenty years. After Bane triumphed over Sirak in a lightsaber duel, Qordis prohibited Bane from continuing his private studies with Githany and accessing the archives. In response, Bane confronted him with anger and then departed for the Valley of the Dark Lords, believing he could uncover the power of the ancient Sith there. Initially, Qordis anticipated Bane's death, but Kas'im convinced him that Bane would eventually return. Upon Bane's return, Qordis presented him with a synthetic crystal, asserting that it would surpass the power of both the crystal in the lightsaber given to Bane by Kas'im and that of the Jedi. Furthermore, Qordis had elevated Bane to the rank of Dark Lord of the Sith as instructed by Kaan, hoping to entice Bane back into the Brotherhood. However, Bane openly defied Qordis, denouncing the Brotherhood as weak and Kaan as leading the Sith towards destruction. He then claimed the title of Darth for himself. He commandeered Qordis's vessel, the Valcyn, and journeyed to Lehon.

Several days later, after slaying Kas'im and surviving Githany's poison, Bane made his way to Ruusan. There, Qordis witnessed the immense power that his former student could wield. He secretly approached Bane, urging him to overthrow Kaan and seize control of the Brotherhood. Qordis argued that because many of the former students from the Korriban Academy still admired him, he could rally their loyalty to Bane as the Brotherhood's new leader. Bane, who intended to annihilate the Brotherhood, was repulsed by the notion of leading it. He used his abilities to levitate Qordis and slowly crush his body with a clenched fist, denying him the "honorable" death in battle that Qordis had requested.

Legacy

Bane later discovered that Qordis had been siphoning funds from the Brotherhood to indulge his own greed, depositing the money with the InterGalactic Banking Clan under the alias Lord Eddels, which Bane would subsequently access. At some point in his life, Qordis acquired the Scroll of Freedon Nadd and added notes detailing the location of the Tomb of Freedon Nadd, which, like his embezzled funds, eventually fell into Bane's possession after being discovered by his apprentice, Darth Zannah.

Qordis would later manifest in Bane's mind as a hallucination resulting from damage inflicted by the thought bomb. On Onderon's moon, Dxun, this caused Bane to unleash the Force, severely damaging the Valcyn and nearly killing Bane.

After Bane emerged from Nadd's tomb, Qordis ceased to trouble him, as Bane had symbolically overcome the spirits of both Qordis and Kaan within his healed mind.

Personality and traits

Qordis possessed the traits of a Sith Lord, being both cunning and manipulative, but he was also known for his pettiness. He was willing to squander Bane's potential and allow him to self-destruct simply because Kopecz had been the one to introduce Bane to the Academy. Even after his death, he was willing to kill Bane, the last member of his order, out of spite.

Qordis surrounded himself with opulence, aiming to inspire envy in others. He also felt no remorse in stealing from the Brotherhood to which he had pledged his loyalty, solely to enrich himself.

At the Academy, he was known for showing favoritism, holding Sirak in high esteem. He dismissed the past and viewed himself and the Brotherhood as the only path to achieving the full power of the dark side.

Qordis was noticeably taller than Bane, with sharp teeth and talon-like nails. He had an unnaturally pale complexion, resembling chalk. He typically wore a dark robe that hung loosely on his frame.
