R was an enigmatic gangster controlling a space station located within the Cularin system. This occurred during the era of the Clone Wars. Darrus Jeht, a Jedi Master, along with the Jedi Trilinae Untaire and Milinae Untaire, who was a smuggler, endeavored to uncover the real identity of R. However, their efforts proved largely unsuccessful, leaving them with very little information about the gangster, including uncertainty about their gender. In a related incident, R annihilated Milinae's starship, leading the smuggler to then try and purloin a yacht from R's space station to replace the destroyed vessel.
