R'kik D'nec

R'kik D'nec originated from Tatooine, a planet and the home of the Jawa. It is said that by 4 ABY, in the context of the year, D'nec supposedly faced a Tusken Raiders tribe, a group of enraged banthas, and a fierce krayt dragon within the Dune Sea. He purportedly triumphed over all of them in a matter of minutes, then emerged from the Dune Sea carrying a bantha tusk on his shoulder. Due to this alleged feat, the Jawa gained the title of "Hero of the Dune Sea." Yet, skepticism arose regarding the accuracy of the story. Furthermore, D'nec remained undefeated in the Dune Sea Sabacc game, with no one ever claiming otherwise. D'nec was known to wear brown Jawa robes and possessed yellow eyes.

Behind the scenes

R'kik D'nec initially appeared in 1998, specifically on several cards featured in the Jabba's Palace Limited expansion for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game. Decipher's visual representation of R'kik D'nec involved modifying a production photo taken during the filming of scenes set in Jabba the Hutt's desert palace from the 1983 film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. However, it's important to note that the Jawa depicted in the original image, which served as the basis for R'kik D'nec, was identified as Wittin, another character, in 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
