The events of the Colony Three raid transpired on the planet of Ylesia during 5 BBY. Bria Tharen, who had escaped the Besadii Hutt slaving world of Ylesia six years prior, spearheaded a commando operation as a member of the Corellian Resistance to liberate enslaved individuals. While two ships descended towards Ylesia, navigating its dangerous atmospheric conditions, only one successfully made landfall. The other ship succumbed to a wind shear and was obliterated. Upon landing near Colony Three, the first transport deployed armed soldiers clad in green and khaki, who then engaged the Ylesian guards in an assault. The ensuing firefight led to the deaths of over twelve guards. As a result of the raid, ninety-seven slaves were freed. The rebels, however, faced initial challenges in convincing the liberated slaves of the reality of Ylesia, as they remained influenced by the Exultation. Initially, only two out of the two hundred slaves expressed a desire to leave, prompting Tharen to instruct her troops to stun the remaining individuals. Ultimately, within a month, fifty-three "pilgrims" made their way back to Ylesia. Moreover, the raid incurred the displeasure of the Besadii clan upon Tharen, leading Aruk the Hutt to contract bounty hunter Boba Fett and issue a bounty of 50,000 credits for her capture.
