Rampant, a Victory-class Star Destroyer, served the Imperial Navy throughout the Galactic Civil War. Circa 2 ABY, it sustained damage in the Boeus sector during a campaign against the Rebel Alliance. While undergoing repairs at the Wroona Stardock, its leftmost ion drive was destroyed. This was the result of an attack perpetrated by Wroonian outlaw Kabalard Vinne, previously a representative of the Guild of Armament Distributors. Vinne justified this act of sabotage as retaliation for Governor Norrin's recent suppression of certain less-than-reputable Wroonian guilds.
The name Rampant appears in the lists used by the video game Star Wars: Empire at War and its Forces of Corruption expansion to randomly assign names to capital ships. It is one of several names specifically designated for this class of vessel.
