The Rapid Deployment station, a modular, pre-built structure, was manufactured by Nen-Carvon. These stations, smaller in size compared to the standard Imperial garrison, were designed to be deployed from smaller starships. Often, they were constructed away from their final location and transported via shuttle or dropship. These stations found common use in short-duration military engagements, law enforcement activities, or for training purposes. They possessed the capability to be deployed in challenging conditions, such as vacuums. For situations requiring expanded space, multiple stations could be interconnected, creating a larger complex.
An octagonal base formed the foundation of the Rapid Deployment station, accommodating up to four modular compartments. The specific nature of these compartments varied based on the mission's demands. A robust, electrified metal mesh encircled the base, serving as a deterrent against animals or other creatures attempting to access the underside of the station. Although not primarily designed for intense combat scenarios, the stations could be equipped with weapon emplacements.
A selection of nine distinct modular units was available for installation within a Rapid Deployment station. Among these, four were dedicated to support functions, while the remaining five catered to habitation needs. These units encompassed electronics, laboratories, medical facilities, detention areas, living quarters, command centers, and conference rooms.
