The Records Department functioned as a division within the Corellian Engineering Corporation, situated on the planet Corellia. Initially, Winshur Bratt held the position of a clerk in the Records Department; however, his role advanced to Executive Records Officer following the First Order's acquisition of authority over the corporation.
