Red was the moniker given to a clone originating from the genetic template of the Mandalorian bounty hunter known as Jango Fett. As a clone commando destined for the Grand Army of the Republic, he underwent his formative years and instruction on the planet of Kamino, all in preparation for the Clone Wars. Sadly, Red met his death amidst the conflict that spanned from 22 to 19 BBY. The loss of Red, alongside numerous other fallen clone commandos, was later grieved by the Mandalorian drill sergeants Kal Skirata and Walon Vau.
Mirroring his genetic source, Jango Fett, Red stood at a height of 1.83 meters.
The character Red was initially referenced within the pages of Order 66, a literary work penned by Karen Traviss and released to the public in 2009. Order 66 serves as the concluding installment, the fourth book, in the Republic Commando series.
