Redline

Redline held the position of Commander for Black Eight Squadron, taking over from Juno Eclipse after Lord Darth Vader reassigned her following the events of the Bombing of Callos; "Redline" was his designation.

Biography

Redline frequently resorted to excessive force during flight operations, leading Captain Eclipse, the Squadron's previous commander, to frequently reprimand him. She even described him as "psychopathic" in her official records.

During the Bombardment of Callos, he served under her command. Eclipse voiced her strong objections to continuing the bombardment after their initial goal was achieved, arguing that it would constitute genocide. Vader then instructed her to disable Callos's planetary reactor as an alternative solution. However, this precise strike resulted in the reactor releasing pollutants into the planet's atmosphere, setting off a catastrophic chain reaction. Despite the devastating outcome, Redline, along with two other pilots, expressed their dissatisfaction with the decision to withdraw from the vulnerable planet before completing the act of genocide.

Juno considered Redline to be the most unfeeling, brutal, and inconsiderate individual she had ever flown alongside. These characteristics were valued within the Squadron's unforgiving doctrine, and after Eclipse's reassignment (likely due to her perceived sensitivity), Redline was chosen to take her place as the Squadron's leader.

He also participated in the Galactic Civil War. In one instance, while piloting a TIE/IT Interdictor starfighter, he engaged in aerial combat with two X-wings, launching homing missiles at both Rebel pilots.
