Ree Ohr, a Human female xenobiotics expert, was associated with the Galactic Republic during the era of the Clone Wars. In the year 20 BBY, Ohr found themselves stationed on the planet Drongar, which was then the location of the battle between the Republic and the forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was Ohr who originated the phrase "orthostatic hypotensive syncope of idiopathic origin" as a way to characterize a peculiar ailment afflicting Republic clone trooper [CT-914] (/article/ct-914) amidst the conflict; this condition resulted in him losing consciousness each time he attempted to stand, a consequence of diminished blood pressure. Despite this, neither Ohr nor the other medical personnel of the Republic were able to determine the underlying reason for the trooper's sickness. CT-914 received care at the Republic Mobile Surgical Unit 7, where Jedi Padawan Barriss Offee ultimately healed him using the Force.
The character of Ree Ohr appeared in MedStar I: Battle Surgeons, a book authored jointly by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry and released in 2004.
