During a specific period of the Galactic Civil War, the reedug cultivators mounted a rebellion against the Galactic Empire due to the imposed tariffs on their goods. The Rebel Alliance intervened by providing weaponry to local resistance fighters, which ultimately led to the Empire's withdrawal from its blockade attempt.
