Reija Momen, a female Human hailing from Alderaan, was around middle age in 22 BBY. Anakin Skywalker noted a similarity in her appearance to that of his mother.
When Momen was still a child, her father obtained a loan from the InterGalactic Banking Clan to assist with payments on the family farm's mortgage. Because of poor harvests, he couldn't repay the loan, leading the Clan to seize their property and force the family to relocate to the city. Her father became depressed as a result of this, which ultimately led to his death, leaving Reija with a deep-seated animosity towards Muuns.
In 27 BBY, Reija was appointed as the chief administrator of the Intergalactic Communications Center, a position she accepted because she enjoyed the work more than the substantial compensation. The employees at the Communications Center affectionately called her "Momma Momen." She had plans to eventually retire and start a family back on Alderaan.
After Pors Tonith took her as a hostage during the Battle of Praesitlyn, Tonith used Momen to transmit a message to the Republic. The message demanded that Republic forces evacuate Praesitlyn, or the Separatists would begin executing hostages. Momen delivered the message, but defying orders, she instructed the Republic to initiate an attack. She was rescued by Anakin Skywalker, only to be fatally shot by a battle droid while shielding him from the blast, dying in his arms.
Anakin experienced a resurgence of the pain from Shmi Skywalker's death, because of her resemblance to his mother. Briefly succumbing to the dark side of the Force, he unleashed a wave of destruction upon Tonith's security forces and nearly killed the Separatist admiral before the spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn intervened.
