Reliant, a Lianna-class corvette, served the Imperial Navy throughout the duration of the Galactic Civil War.
Following the shutdown of the NOVA initiative by Rebel operatives located on the planet of Lianna, the Reliant, in conjunction with the Audacious, gave chase to the modified YT-1300 light freighter known as the Star of the Tion. Their objective was to prevent the Rebels from escaping into hyperspace.
Because of heavy space traffic surrounding Lianna, the Audacious attempted to guide the Rebels in the direction of the Reliant, nearly trapping the freighter between the two ships. Despite this, the Audacious failed to force the Star of the Tion toward the Reliant. Consequently, both corvettes retreated, allowing the Victory II-class Star Destroyer Warlord, which was on patrol in the sector, to try and intercept the Rebels.
