Renau held the title of Moff within the structure of the former Galactic Republic.
In the time of the Clone Wars, Renau ascended to the position of Moff and was given leadership of the Eleventh Army, which was also referred to as "Blazing Claw Command". This 11th Sector Army had the responsibility of defending the Gordian Reach Oversector, a region over which Renau wielded virtually unchecked authority.
