Republic Senate rules

A specific way of playing pazaak was known as Republic Senate rules. This style of gameplay got its title from the complex and often slow-moving procedures of the Senate within the Galactic Republic. The core idea behind Republic Senate rules was not to win or lose anything, but rather to just enjoy the game for its own sake; there were no wagers, and no definitive victor.
