An active repulsorlift jammer in use by the Zann Consortium A repulsorlift jammer functioned as a mechanism for nullifying the repulsorlift fields generated by surface vehicles. In essence, when activated, this jammer immobilized opposing repulsorcraft, effectively grounding them. It is documented that the Zann Consortium employed these devices as a component of their defensive strategies during the peak of the Galactic Civil War.

In contrast to the Galactic Empire, the Alliance to Restore the Republic lacked the financial resources to acquire repulsorlift jammers during the Galactic Civil War. General Carlist Rieekan later voiced his astonishment in the Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide's section concerning the Imperial-class 1-H repulsortank, noting the Empire's infrequent deployment of such jammers against the Alliance.
