The Retaliation, under the command of Maarisa Zsinj, was a Venator-class Star Destroyer.
Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars, the Retaliation was slated to be retired from service. Subsequently, Maarisa's son, Zsinj, was assigned to assume command of the Star Destroyer.
Maarisa Zsinj declined to relinquish control of her vessel and, choosing a different path, embarked on a career as a pirate. She focused her activities on the Empire, which she considered to be rife with corruption. Her son received orders to eliminate her, leading to a military conflict. This campaign culminated in Maarisa's demise and the declaration of the younger Zsinj as the inaugural Warlord of the Empire.
