Before his dismissal from the Sullustan Home Guard in 0 BBY, Rann became the primary navigator aboard the Mandalorian Dungeon ship Vanquisher, the mobile base for the Mytaranor Slaving Council. He quickly rose to become the chief pilot of the Vanquisher, a ship he cherished deeply. To keep the ship in top condition, he employed three expert Verpine technicians, who worked alongside R2-K7.
Rann was a ruthless slaver who would torture any prisoner who disobeyed him.
