Ribba was a Hutt species character. At some point following the Battle of Yavin, Ribba ran a textile enterprise, which appeared to be a lawful business. When the Hutt found out that an member within the company was stealing money, Ribba contracted bounty hunters to locate the person, stipulating that they must be delivered back to Ribba without being killed. The hunters located the embezzler on the planet called Celanon, but during a firefight in a bar, they killed the target. Since the terms of the bounty hadn't been met, Ribba wouldn't give the bounty hunters their payment, and they stayed on Celanon to find other employment.
Ribba appeared in the 1997 sourcebook No Disintegrations (No Disintegrations), for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, specifically in the adventure Gone To Ground, penned by Kevin M. MacGregor. The events of Ribba's interactions with the contracted bounty hunters served as the backstory for the player characters of Gone to Ground, who would play the role of the bounty hunters in that particular adventure. No Disintegrations does not specify Ribba's sex.
