Possessing yellow-green hides, Risps featured expansive maws lined with saw-edged dentition, along with a sextet of robust appendages terminating in webbed digits and sharp talons. Their hunting habits ranged from solitary pursuits to familial pack endeavors. Upon experiencing duress or initiating an assault, they produced bubbling sibilant and piercing vocalizations. They exhibited a vulnerability to the rakghoul plague, and infection resulted in their metamorphosis into small-scale rakghouls referred to as raklings.
