Prior to the full construction of the initial Death Star, inmates who had broken free from the penal colony seized control of the transport shuttle. The destruction of the shuttle was carried out by Villian Dance from Alpha Squadron, who were operating from the Imperial-class Star Destroyer known as the Steel Talon.
