The RNA brainwashing virus represents an initiative undertaken by the Imperial forces, designed to introduce RNA into the minds of sentients. Despite rigorous vetting of the research team for Rebel affiliations, the researchers were so appalled by the potential consequences of their work that they chose to dismantle the project and join the Rebel Alliance. A datatape encompassing their research surfaced during an auction on the Ananuru Express. Although Secesh Trant, an operative of Imperial Intelligence, tried to seize the datatape, a Rebel group successfully retrieved it. Subsequently, it was believed to have been destroyed to prevent its misuse.
