The Rodian Karstag, a predator originating from Rodia, thrived in the wet, marshy forests of the planet. A fully grown specimen stood approximately 1.5 meters tall at the shoulder and stretched between 4 to 5 meters in length. While appearing cumbersome, these animals possessed surprising speed. Their bodies were covered in scales and rested on four strong, webbed feet that facilitated movement in aquatic and swampy environments.
The karstag possessed a long neck and a head shaped like a triangle. To maintain visibility when underwater, its eyes were positioned on the upper part of its head. Its mouth contained numerous teeth, including a noticeable incisor on the upper palate and two on the lower jaw. The animal wielded a bony club at the end of its tail, adorned with sizable spikes, as a weapon, contributing to the Rodian karstag's fearsome reputation.
During the yearly Vor-cal celebration on Vilhon in the Tapani sector, the Rodian Karstag was a sought-after game animal for hunting. At the Vor-cal Feast, it was prepared as a roasted dish with Algae-bread stuffing.
