Roga
A piece of conceptual artwork depicting rogas in the midst of an assault on a droid located on Geonosis. Rogas were insect-like beings that originated on the planet Geonosis. The roga species was a short, six-legged insectoid type of creature, characterized by grasping mandibles encircling its mouth, and a pair of plumed antennae situated on the top of its head. Certain scientists from the Republic proposed the hypothesis that the Geonosians could have developed from a primeval iteration of the roga.
Behind the scenes
Originally, in the early script versions of Attack of the Clones, a pack of these creatures was planned to launch an attack on R4-P17 soon after Obi-Wan Kenobi made his landing on Geonosis. Nevertheless, this scene was ultimately removed from the final cut of the movie.
