The Ronto-class transport, constructed by the Damorian Manufacturing Corporation, was a cargo ship characterized by its boxy design. These Ronto-class transports included a minimum of one laser cannon turret on both the dorsal and ventral sides, in addition to a single escape pod. The hull's integrity was such that a Verpine shatter gun could leave visible dents, and the flight deck was exceptionally basic, featuring a viewport of limited size. In the year 36 ABY, Rontos were widely regarded as some of the most sluggish, visually unappealing, and resource-intensive vessels within the light transport category.
