A male Human named Rynert, residing in Taloraan City on the planet Taloraan, showed his support for the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the era of the Clone Wars. He lived during the Legends timeline.
During 21 BBY, the city's magistrate, Orlin Denache, secretly made an agreement with Count Dooku, as Dooku wanted Taloraan to join the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Consequently, a Munificent-class star frigate, under the command of Captain Canteval, arrived at the planet. Rynert, leading local Separatist sympathizers, began discreetly importing B1-Series battle droids and droidekas into the city.
At the same time, Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker journeyed to Taloraan with Ahsoka Tano, Skywalker's Padawan, to ensure the planet's allegiance to the Republic. After Tano and the protocol droid C9-RX0 stumbled upon battle droids hidden within the city, Rynert eliminated the droid and then confronted the padawan, but Tano used the Force to push him into a wall, allowing her to escape. Rynert immediately informed Canteval, who then ordered the droids to engage the Jedi, exposing the Separatist presence. Kenobi and Skywalker attempted to reach their Nu-class attack shuttle, but Rynert destroyed the shuttle, incapacitating them. Rynert wanted to kill the Jedi, but Sech Govlinder, an emissary, insisted on taking them into custody.
After the Jedi were secured in the warehouse, Rynert tried to contact Canteval again and went to the upper city platform to get a better signal. While he was away, Sech Govlinder freed the Jedi and led them to the city's main communication tower, where they successfully sent a message to their Star Destroyer, the Resolute. Rynert told Canteval that the ship was within their firing range, but without the advantage of surprise, Canteval's Munificent could not defeat the Venator alone. With its shields failing, the Munificent was hit in its engines, causing it to fall into the gas giant's core.
In the meantime, the Resolute deployed several LAAT/i carrying clone reinforcements to help the loyalists regain control of the city. Rynert and his followers tried to resist, but they were overpowered by the combined forces of the Jedi, clone troopers, Denfrandi loyalists, and the Wind Raiders.
